- This is the start of the journey. This project has taken about 7 years to take shape and involved about 60+ people since then.
The existing challenge: a disconnected World
To meet our needs in challenging environments, humans—and other animals—have developed both collaborative methods and systems (win-win approaches) as well as strategies based on domination and competition.
While these domination and competition strategies can provide quick solutions to immediate needs, they often leave us in a state of survival rather than fulfilment, disconnected from ourselves, others, animals, our work, and the planet as a whole.
This disconnection manifests in a wide range of issues, from interpersonal disputes to full blown generalised conflicts, loneliness, distrust, lack of purpose at work, family and community fragmentation, the generalised spread of mental health issues, criminality, etc.
Our purpose: a Closer World
Closer World's ultimate purpose is to experience, foster, enable, improve or re-establish a closer connection within oneself, among people, with work, between humans and animals, and with the natural world as a whole.
Our solutions
We plan to bring this vision to life through multiple enterprises, partnerships and collaborations, across various sectors and activities. Across all these enterprises, soft skills and/or good mental health will play a central role.
